...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM EDT FOR SOUTHWESTERN CRAWFORD COUNTY... At 1214 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Bucyrus, moving east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include... Bucyrus and Oceola. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter and protect yourself from flying debris. WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest Ohio, including the following counties, in north central Ohio, Crawford, Marion and Morrow. In northwest Ohio, Wyandot. WHEN...Until 200 AM EDT. IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1002 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Marion, Mount Gilead, Cardington, Prospect, La Rue, Morral, Waldo, Marseilles, Caledonia, New Bloomington, Edison, Green Camp and Iberia. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.
