...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE... WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. WHERE...East Fork White River at Seymour. WHEN...Until further notice. IMPACTS...At 14.0 feet, Pasture lands, agricultural lands and several county and state roads begin to flood. High water isolates a few river cabins. State Road 235 east of Medora and county roads near Shields and Vallonia flood. Roads that begin to flood include SR 258 east of Cortland, CR 725 N just north of the gaging site and Ewing Road near Brownstown. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:45 PM EDT Tuesday the stage was 13.3 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:45 PM EDT Tuesday was 15.9 feet. - Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage tomorrow morning to 11.4 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then rise above flood stage late tomorrow evening to 14.4 feet early Thursday afternoon. It will fall to 13.7 feet Friday morning. It will then rise to 14.5 feet Saturday morning. East Fork White River at Williams. .Minor to moderate flooding continues on the East Fork White after the significant rainfall last week. Additional rainfall of 0.75 to 1.5 inches today through Wednesday night was included in the forecast. The crest on the East Fork is near Williams, with the stage at Shoals expected to begin falling Friday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/ind.
