...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 445 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING... WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. WHERE...Portions of north central and northern Indiana, including the following counties, in north central Indiana, St. Joseph. In northern Indiana, Elkhart. WHEN...Until 445 AM EDT. IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 139 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... South Bend, Elkhart, Mishawaka, Georgetown, Gulivoire Park, Granger, Simonton Lake, Osceola, North Liberty, Bristol, Lakeville, Roseland, Indian Village, Woodland, Jimtown and Crumstown. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.

WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana, northwest Ohio and southwest Michigan. WHEN...Until 6 AM EDT /5 AM CDT/ early this morning. IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with rainfall rates up to 1 to 2 inches per hour will be possible overnight.
