Locally higher amounts in excess of a foot possible along and north of M-28. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. WHERE...Alger, Delta, Luce, Northern Schoolcraft, and Southern Schoolcraft Counties. WHEN...From midnight tonight to 8 PM EDT Friday. IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Widespread blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Prepare for possible power outages.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS...This includes the Garden Peninsula of Delta County. Lakeshore flooding is not expected along the Green Bay shoreline. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Residents on or near the shore should take appropriate action to protect property from rising water levels.
