...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM EDT /7 AM CDT/ THIS MORNING TO 11 AM EDT /10 AM CDT/ TUESDAY... WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 6 inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana and southwest Michigan. WHEN...From 8 AM EDT /7 AM CDT/ this morning to 11 AM EDT /10 AM CDT/ Tuesday. IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday evening commute. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Lake effect snow and northwest wind gusts of 30 to 40 mph will result in deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility will be near zero at times. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... During lake effect snow, the weather can vary from bands of locally heavy snow to dry weather just a few miles away. Visibilities can also vary greatly. Be prepared for rapid changes in weather, visibility, and road conditions.
