...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT TUESDAY... WHAT...Blizzard conditions. Additional snow accumulations between 2 and 3 feet. Winds gusting as high as 65 mph, strongest near the Great Lakes shorelines. WHERE...Alger, Delta, Luce, Northern Schoolcraft, and Southern Schoolcraft Counties. WHEN...Until 8 AM EDT Tuesday. IMPACTS...Travel will be treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Widespread blowing snow and heavy snowfall rates will significantly reduce visibility. Strong winds could cause tree damage and result in power outages. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Heavy snowfall rates of 1 to 3 inches per hour are expected into this evening as well as Monday morning. Strongest winds are expected tonight into Monday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle. Persons should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

WHERE...Alger County. WHEN...From 8 PM this evening to 8 AM EDT Tuesday. IMPACTS...Numerous roads closed and low lying property including parking lots, lawns, and homes and businesses will be inundated near the lake. Some shoreline erosion will occur. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property.
