...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL LATE SUNDAY EVENING... WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. WHERE...East Fork White River at Seymour. WHEN...Until late Sunday evening. IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Extensive lowland flooding affecting agricultural lands. Many county and state roads in flood plain become impassable by high water, including SR 235 East of Medora, SR 258 East of Cortland, CR 725 N and possibly SR 39 south of Tampico. High water affects county roads near Vallonia and Shields, Ewing Road near Brownstown, CR 525 N near Seymour wastewater treatment plant, Honeytown Road and possibly SR 250 east of Dudleytown and SR 256 west of Austin. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:45 PM EDT Thursday the stage was 16.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 9:45 PM EDT Thursday was 16.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.2 feet tomorrow morning. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following river in Indiana... East Fork White River at Shoals, near Bedford, near Rivervale, at Williams, and at Seymour. .Minor to moderate flooding continues on the East Fork White River. The level is expected to continue to rise at Seymour tonight to 16.2 feet near daybreak then fall. The river level at all other locations is on the fall. The next accumulating precipitation is forecast to start Sunday afternoon and night. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route over higher ground. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/ind. The next statement should be issued Friday afternoon by around 300 PM EDT.
