Higher amounts in excess of a foot possible in the higher terrain of northern Marquette county. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. WHERE...Marquette County. WHEN...From 11 PM this evening to 5 PM EDT Friday. IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult. Widespread blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday morning and evening commutes. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. Prepare for possible power outages.

Winds shifting north on Friday morning. WHERE...Huron Islands to Marquette MI. WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until noon EDT today. For the Gale Warning, from 11 PM this evening to 2 AM EDT Saturday. IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions.
