...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 PM SATURDAY TO 4 PM CDT MONDAY... WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation expected. Total snow accumulations 12 and 18 inches with localized higher amounts and ice accumulations around a light glaze. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph may result in blizzard conditions late Sunday into Monday. WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and northeast Wisconsin. WHEN...From 7 PM Saturday to 4 PM CDT Monday. IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult to impossible with potential for whiteout conditions. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches and cause power outages. The Monday morning commute will be impacted. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 5 1 1. People should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

WHAT...For the Gale Warning, northwest winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 45 kt. Waves 7 to 10 ft subsiding to 2 to 5 ft. For the Small Craft Advisory, northwest winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and waves 2 to 5 ft expected. WHERE...Lake Michigan nearshore waters from Washington Island to Sheboygan. WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 7 PM CDT this evening. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 7 PM this evening to midnight CDT tonight. IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions.
