...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 5 AM EDT WEDNESDAY... WHAT...Snow expected. Widespread snow this evening transitioning to lake effect snow late tonight through Tuesday night. Total snow accumulations between 3 and 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. WHERE...Crawford and Northern Erie Counties. WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 5 AM EDT Wednesday. IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous starting this evening. Lake effect snow bands will bring periods of reduced visibility and snow covered roads. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel.
