...THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHWESTERN WILL...SOUTHERN DUPAGE AND SOUTH CENTRAL COOK COUNTIES WILL EXPIRE AT 1115 PM CDT... The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, gusty winds and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service Chicago.

WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will. WHEN...Until 130 AM CDT. IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1053 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated another round of heavy rainfall moving into the area with rainfall rates up to 1 inch per hour. Up to 1.5 inches have occurred over the last several hours. Flooding of roadways and rises on creeks may occur shortly after the onset of rainfall. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Cicero, Hammond, Bolingbrook, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Berwyn, Wheaton, Oak Park, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Lombard, Carol Stream, Romeoville, Plainfield and Calumet City. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
