The National Weather Service in Lubbock has issued an Airport Weather Warning for Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport. The Airport Weather Warning is valid... BEGINNING: 7:30 AM CDT MAR 11th ENDING: 3 PM CDT MAR 11th The following conditions are expected: Sustained surface winds of 30 knots or greater. Northerly winds will remain sustained near 30 knots through the rest of this morning and into early afternoon. Gusts up to 45 knots will occur at times. The winds will gradually decrease through mid-late afternoon before diminishing more significantly around sunset. The wind will also loft blowing dust, occasionally reducing the visibility as low as 3 to 5 miles.
