WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following counties, Cook, DuPage, Kane, Kendall and Will. WHEN...Until 130 AM CDT. IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 836 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated multiple rounds of heavy rainfall with rates up to 1 to 2 inches per hour moving into the central and southern Chicago Metropolitan Area. Flooding of roadways and rises on creeks may occur shortly after the onset of rainfall. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Aurora, Joliet, Naperville, Cicero, Hammond, Bolingbrook, Orland Park, Tinley Park, Oak Lawn, Berwyn, Wheaton, Oak Park, Downers Grove, Elmhurst, Lombard, Carol Stream, Romeoville, Plainfield and Calumet City. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... WHEN...Until 3 AM CDT Wednesday. IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with rainfall rates up to 1 to 2 inches per hour will be possible this evening until later tonight.
