Winds gusting as high as 50 mph will produce blowing and drifting snow. WHERE...The Eastern Lake Ontario Region. WHEN...From 11 AM this morning to 2 PM EDT Saturday. IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Friday evening commute. Gusty winds will down tree branches and cause isolated power outages. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Widespread accumulating snow will create dangerous travel conditions. Submit snow reports through our website or social media.

IMPACTS...At 10.0 feet, Flood stage, farmland flooding begins in the Flats with some roads flooded. Minor damages to riverfront commercial properties in Dexter. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:30 AM EDT Friday the stage was 9.86 feet. - Bankfull stage is 8.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.2 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 10.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 10.1 feet on 03/29/2021. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

WHERE...The nearshore waters of Lake Ontario from Sodus Bay to the Saint Lawrence River. WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, until 5 AM EDT early this morning. For the Gale Warning, from 5 PM this afternoon to 2 PM EDT Saturday. IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility.
