...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM CDT THIS MORNING... WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. WHERE...A portion of southwest Missouri, including the following counties, Barry and Stone. WHEN...Until 800 AM CDT. IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 448 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Flooding is already occurring in the warned area. - This includes the following low water crossings... Rockhouse Creek at Farm Road 2145. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Mccord Bend, Jenkins, Cape Fair and Table Rock Lake. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
