...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON... WHAT...Heavy snow possible. Total snow accumulations between 12 and 18 inches with localized totals in excess of 24 inches possible. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph. WHERE...Portage, Waushara, Wood, Calumet, Manitowoc, Winnebago, Brown, Kewaunee, Outagamie, and Waupaca Counties. WHEN...From Saturday evening through Monday afternoon. IMPACTS...The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Whiteout and near blizzard conditions are possible and may make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Travel could be very difficult to impossible. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Monitor the latest forecasts for updates on this situation. People should consider delaying all travel. Motorists should use extreme caution if travel is absolutely necessary.

WHAT...For the Gale Warning, northwest winds 20 to 30 kt with gusts up to 45 kt. Waves 7 to 10 ft subsiding to 2 to 5 ft. For the Small Craft Advisory, northwest winds 15 to 25 kt with gusts up to 30 kt and waves 2 to 5 ft expected. WHERE...Lake Michigan nearshore waters from Washington Island to Sheboygan. WHEN...For the Gale Warning, until 7 PM CDT this evening. For the Small Craft Advisory, from 7 PM this evening to midnight CDT tonight. IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous waves which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions.
