WHEN...Until 500 AM EDT Thursday. IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1049 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to earlier thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. - The gauge on Duck Creek near Macksburg was at 12.5 feet and rising. At 13 feet, Main Street near the creek floods and agricultural fields adjacent to creek flood. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Macksburg and Lower Salem. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
