...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 7 PM MDT SUNDAY... WHAT...North winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 70 mph possible. The strongest winds will generally east of a line from eastern El Paso county to La Junta to Springfield. WHERE...Portions of east central and southeast Colorado. WHEN...From midnight tonight to 7 PM MDT Sunday. IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are possible. Travel could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles traveling on east-west roadways. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Areas of blowing dust could reduce visibility to under a mile at times. Be especially careful near recently plowed lands or locations with disturbed soils. Visibility can change rapidly over short distances. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.

AFFECTED AREA...Fire Weather Zones 220, 221, 222, 225, 226, 227, 228, 229, 230, 231, 232, 233, 234, 235, 236 and 237. WINDS...West 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph. RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 7 percent. IMPACTS...Extreme fire danger is expected. Fires will uncontrollably spread and be very destructive. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
