WHEN...Through late Friday night. IMPACTS...Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. A High Surf Advisory will likely be needed beginning Tuesday as surf heights quickly build behind a front. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as jetties and piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and signs. Entering the surf is strongly discouraged. If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave for help.

For the Gale Watch, northeast winds 20 to 30 knots with gusts up to 40 knots and seas 8 to 13 feet possible. WHERE...Volusia-Brevard County Line to Sebastian Inlet 0-20 nm. WHEN...For the Small Craft Advisory, from 8 AM to 2 PM EDT Tuesday. For the Gale Watch, from Tuesday afternoon through late Wednesday night. IMPACTS...Strong winds can cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should consider altering plans to avoid possible hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for severe wind and seas.
