IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Park in southern Montezuma begins to flood. Higher bottomlands begin to flood. Water backs up most local tributaries. River water is at the top of some private levees. Lowest county roads begin to flood. Parke CR 75 W begins to flood. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:45 AM EDT Monday the stage was 20.9 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:45 AM EDT Monday was 21.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Monday, April 13 and continue falling and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana...Illinois... Wabash River at Riverton. Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site. Wabash River at Terre Haute. Wabash River at Covington. Wabash River at Lafayette. Wabash River at Montezuma. .Lowland flooding will continue along the Wabash River through the week. The crest is at Montezuma as of Monday morning, but is not expected to reach Vincennes until this weekend. Minor flooding should end during the weekend on the upper Wabash but is expected to continue into early next week on parts of the middle and lower Wabash. Dry weather is expected into Thursday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov/ind. The next statement should be issued this evening by around 1100 PM EDT /1000 PM CDT/.
