WHAT...For the first Small Craft Advisory, south winds around 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. For the Gale Warning, north winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and seas 10 to 15 ft expected. For the second Small Craft Advisory, north winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and seas 6 to 11 ft expected. WHERE...Galveston Bay, Matagorda Bay, and the adjacent Gulf waters. WHEN...For the first Small Craft Advisory, until 10 PM CDT this evening. For the Gale Warning, from 10 PM this evening to 1 PM CDT Monday. For the second Small Craft Advisory, from 1 PM Monday to 1 AM CDT Tuesday. IMPACTS...Strong winds will cause hazardous seas which could capsize or damage vessels and reduce visibility. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Very strong north winds are expected behind a cold front tonight into Monday. Could not rule out gusts locally up to 50 knots. We will need to monitor the potential for gale conditions to start a couple of hours early in the bays and nearshore waters. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Mariners should alter plans to avoid these hazardous conditions. Remain in port, seek safe harbor, alter course, and/or secure the vessel for hazardous conditions.

WHAT...South to southwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts up to 30 to 35 mph becoming north winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 to 45 mph on Sunday afternoon/evening and continuing into Sunday night. Winds gradually decrease on Monday. WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Texas. WHEN...Until 6 PM CDT Monday. IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
