...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM CDT /7 PM MDT/ THIS EVENING FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR PORTIONS OF WESTERN NORTH DAKOTA... WINDS...West-northwest to around 40 mph with peak gusts up to 70 mph north of Interstate 94, while winds are expected to be sustained to 50 mph with gusts to 80 mph south of Interstate 94. RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 20 percent. AFFECTED AREA...Portions of western North Dakota. IMPACTS...Any fires that ignite will spread rapidly and become difficult to control or suppress. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds and low relative humidity can contribute to extreme fire behavior.

...RED FLAG WARNING FOR PORTIONS OF WESTERN NORTH DAKOTA THIS AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING... .Critical fire weather conditions are expected this afternoon through early this evening across portions of western North Dakota. Expect minimum relative humidity as low as 20 percent mid to late this afternoon. West to northwesterly winds sustained to around 40 mph and peak gusts as high as 70 mph are expected north of Interstate 94, with sustained winds to 50 mph and peak gusts to 80 mph south of Interstate 94. Any fires that ignite could spread rapidly and become difficult to control.
