The National Weather Service in Houston/Galveston has issued a Red Flag Warning for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from 11 AM to 7 PM CDT Monday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. WINDS...North 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40 mph. RELATIVE HUMIDITY...As low as 15 percent. IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will be capable of spreading rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. Obey all local burn restrictions and burn bans. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures will create explosive fire growth potential.

WHAT...For the first Small Craft Advisory, south winds around 20 kt with gusts up to 25 kt. For the Gale Warning, north winds 25 to 35 kt with gusts up to 45 kt and seas 10 to 15 ft expected. For the second Small Craft Advisory, north winds 20 to 25 kt with gusts up to 35 kt and seas 6 to 11 ft expected. WHERE...Galveston Bay, Matagorda Bay, and the adjacent Gulf waters.
