...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 5 PM THIS AFTERNOON TO 2 PM EDT TUESDAY... WHAT...Lake effect snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches, with the greatest accumulations in the higher elevations. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. WHERE...Ashtabula Inland, Ashtabula Lakeshore, Lake, and Trumbull Counties. WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 2 PM EDT Tuesday. IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous starting this evening. Lake effect snow bands will bring periods of reduced visibility and snow covered roads. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Slow down and use caution while traveling. The Ohio Department of Transportation and Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission strongly encourage motorists to heed all travel restrictions and delay unnecessary travel.
