...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY MORNING THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR PARTS OF SOUTHWEST GEORGIA AND THE EASTERN FLORIDA PANHANDLE... The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening. AFFECTED AREA...Florida Fire weather zones 008, 009, 010, 011, 012, 013, 014, 016, 017, 027, 112, 326, and 426. Georgia Fire weather zones 125, 127, 128, 129, 130, 131, 143, 144, 145, 146, 147, 148, 155, 156, 157, 158, 159, 160, and 161. WIND...Northeast 15 to 20 mph, with gusts of 25 to 30 mph. HUMIDITY...As low as 22 to 28 percent. IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions are forecast to occur. Listen for later forecasts and possible Red Flag Warnings.

WHAT...Northeast winds near 20 knots this morning, increasing to 20 to 25 knots on Tuesday, then 25 to 30 knots on Wednesday morning. WHERE...Coastal waters from Mexico Beach to Okaloosa Walton County Line FL out 20 NM and Waters from Mexico Beach to Okaloosa Walton County Line FL from 20 to 60 NM. WHEN...Until 11 AM CDT Wednesday. IMPACTS...A Small Craft Advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots, or seas of 7 feet or greater, are expected to produce hazardous conditions for small craft. These hazardous conditions may result in poor vessel handling and steering response, broaching, overturned dinghies and kayaks, slips and falls on slippery decks, rub damage along docks and seawalls, and dragging anchors. ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds of either Small Craft strength or Gale-force will continue beyond the current expiration, going into at least Friday morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
