At 1038 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 14 miles southeast of Carta Valley to 17 miles southwest of Cienegas Terrace. Movement was east at 25 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Del Rio, Brackettville, Lake View, Black Brush Point, Amanda, Laughlin AFB, Montell, Val Verde Park, Standart, Alamo Village, Cienegas Terrace, Long Point, Kickapoo Cavern State Park, 277 South Boat Ramp, 277 North Campground, San Pedro Canyon, Escondido Estates, Fort Clark Springs, and Lake Ridge Ranch. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
