...Freezing Rain for the Thursday Morning Commute in Northern Maine... At 515 AM, an area of moderate freezing rain is moving into the North Woods. It will reach the populated areas of Aroostook County and Northern Penobscot County between 6 and 7 AM, making already treacherous travel even worse. The freezing rain should end around 9 AM, and temperatures will eventually rise above freezing between 10 AM and noon. Much improved travel conditions are expected this afternoon with temperatures reaching the mid 30s to lower 40s.
