At 845 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 11 miles east of Bealeton to near Ladysmith, moving east at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles. Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles. Locations impacted include... At 837 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 26 nm west of Key Bridge to 24 nm southwest of Potomac Creek, moving northeast at 65 knots. HAZARD...Wind gusts in excess of 48 knots and waterspouts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Boaters could easily be thrown overboard by suddenly higher wind and waves capsizing their vessel. Boats could suffer significant damage in high winds. Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Locations impacted include...
