A major winter storm is expected. What: Total snow and ice pellets accumulations of 20 to 30 centimetres over a 24-hour period. Strong winds reaching between 50 and 70 kilometres per hour. Blowing snow conditions resulting in significantly reduced visibilities. Freezing rain amounts of 2 to 5 mm. When: Until Thursday afternoon. Additional information: In some areas, snow will change over to freezing rain overnight Wednesday night before changing back to snow on Thursday. ### Visibility will likely be suddenly reduced to near zero at times.
