WHEN...Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon. IMPACTS...Whiteout conditions are expected at times and will make travel treacherous and potentially life-threatening. Widespread blowing snow will significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions will impact the Monday morning commute. Strong winds could bring down tree branches and cause power outages. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Travel should be restricted to emergencies only. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle.
