Until 1000 PM CDT. At 929 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Kansas City, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include... Kansas City, Independence, Raytown, Liberty, North Kansas City, Mission Hills, Sugar Creek, Westwood, Claycomo, Courtney, Pleasant Valley, Glenaire, Avondale, Westwood Hills, Sibley, Missouri City, Mission Woods, River Bend, Birmingham, and Randolph. ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM CDT WEDNESDAY... WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. WHERE...Portions of east central Kansas, including the following counties, Johnson and Miami and west central Missouri, including the following counties, Cass and Jackson. WHEN...Until 130 AM CDT. IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 926 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
