If you're traveling this holiday weekend, rain might be on your parade or your plans if you're in the eastern half of the U.S.

Showers and storms continue for the mid-Atlantic Friday, while the Northeast may get a brief break from the wet weather Friday. Widespread rain moves back into the Northeast this weekend, keeping highs temperatures down into the chilly 50s and 60s.

The South remains soggy the rest of this week into the upcoming holiday weekend. Rounds of heavy rain could lead to flooding, especially along the Gulf Coast. Please have multiple ways to receive warnings.

The Northern Plains and Midwest could see rain on Friday before drier and warmer weather move in just in time for the weekend.

The West stays warm and dry this weekend, however, showers could threaten Memorial Day plans across the Pacific Northwest and the Four Corners region on Monday.

Keep in mind that the trees and grasses are in full bloom in many areas, as well. Pollen sufferers will want to account for that in any outdoor plans. You can see how far north the pollen has gotten in maps at the end of this article.
