The UEFA Champions League Final is set to begin on Saturday, May 30 at 12:00 P.M ET. Paris Saint-Germain F.C. is playing Arsenal at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest, Hungary.

Showers are possible on Saturday as footballers flock to the city for the final.

Forecast

For the first time that the UEFA Champions League has its final in Budapest, the weather hopefully will not impact the weekend too much. While we cannot rule out showers on Saturday, the weather looks to be largely fine this weekend.

The chances of rain do pick up slightly as the weekend progresses. The graphic below shows the highs and weather conditions for Saturday - Sunday.

Temperatures will be increasing to the 80s (or 28-29°C) for the rest of the weekend.

Past Finals Impacted by Weather

Obviously, in the sport of football, played in stadiums, there can still be weather that impacts the game.

Let's go back to one of the notable finals that was impacted by rainfall.

It is May 21, 2008.

Manchester United and Chelsea are playing at Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow, Russia.

The game is all tied up, and a shootout is underway.

Rain is pouring in the stadium, and the crowd is going nuts.

Cristiano Ronaldo missed Manchester United's third kick. John Terry now has the chance to close out the game. But he slips as he is about to kick the ball, which ultimately led to Chelsea losing the game.

We should not see anything like this this year, so enjoy the weekend if you are traveling to Budapest this weekend.
