The mid-Atlantic could see severe storms capable of producing damaging winds and large hail today, including Washington, Richmond and Virginia Beach. The threat peaks for D.C. from the early afternoon to this evening, but a lower-level severe threat also stretches to cover more of the region and includes Cincinnati and Baltimore. Flash flooding is also possible in the Ohio Valley into Thursday morning, where flood watches have been issued.
