High pressure is back in control over the region and will lead to sunny, dry conditions the next couple days.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - A beautiful end to the weekend leads us into a quiet start to the week.

Mostly clear skies tonight will drop temperatures into the upper 50s and low 60s.

Monday starts the work week off on a quiet note. Temperatures will be heating up as will the humidity. Highs will warm into the upper 80s. A few clouds build through the day that could lead to an isolated rain chance by evening for areas west of I-77.

The rest of the week features more humidity as well as a daily chance for rain and storms.

Humidity will be into the tropical category through much of this week fueling the potential for heavy downpours.

A chance for widespread showers will work into the region Tuesday.

Daytime highs will be into the mid 80s Tuesday and Wednesday with more showers in the area.

Activity will break up a bit more Thursday and Friday with scattered showers and storms still possible, but coverage not as widespread.

Highs Thursday will warm into the upper 80s before a cooler trend sets in by the end of the week.

Humidity levels decrease Friday as our rain chances clears Friday morning. Highs will be into the lower 80s.

Another high pressure system will give us quiet weather to start the upcoming weekend with temperatures trending more seasonable for mid June. Rain chances will be limited.
