Thursday is a First Alert Weather Day: The severe storm risk continues across the rest of the region through midnight. Strong winds remain the primary risk, but we’ll watch in case of a brief spin-up tornado. Just because they spin up quickly doesn’t mean they won’t cause damage. If you’re in a warning, seek shelter. The storms are moving quickly and will only impact any particular location for about an hour before moving out.

Friday: After the cold front drives the storms out of the region well before sunrise Friday morning, temperatures will remain cooler heading into and through the weekend.

Saturday is a First Alert Weather Day: Scattered showers and storms remain possible Saturday lasting through Sunday morning, some of these storms could be stronger on Saturday as the cold front moves in. We’re in a threat level 2 out of 5 for severe weather.

What’s Next: After the storms, we get a reinforcing shot of milder temperatures and even some days in the 70s beginning on Sunday.
