Tropical Storm Edouard was yet another short-lived Gulf storm for the 2026 hurricane season, and it was a product of several conditions coming together. A stationary front provided the rotation, abnormally warm waters provided the fuel, and a gap in the high wind shear caused by the strengthening El Niño provided the window for development.
