‘El Niño snow: Will it push farther south this winter?

A potentially record-breaking El Niño is on the way, which could steer storm after storm across the South. But just because the South is cooler and wetter than usual during an El Niño winter, that doesn’t mean we will for sure have more snow. There are some factors that are in play that are needed for snow and could cause other forms of wintry precipitation, should the conditions shift slightly.
