Zodiacal light, often mistaken for a 'false dawn,' is a soft glowing pyramid of light visible on the horizon before sunrise around the fall equinox. It's easiest to spot about 90 minutes before dawn on Sept. 22, though a nearly full moon will make the dim glow harder to catch this year.
