How I Got To The Weather Company

I have been a reporter for seven years. Publications I've previously worked for include CNN, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Georgia Public Broadcasting, Atlanta magazine, The Bitter Southerner and freelancing at multiple other publications.

During my time at CNN, I covered topics of science, space and wellness. As a freelancer, I covered stories about the environment and climate change. I began working for The Weather Company in April 2026.

What I Love About Working for The Weather Company

I’m extremely passionate about all of the things we have the opportunity to write on: science, space, nature, environment and more.

I enjoy exploring the stories that science and climate teach us about our natural world and how it influences the way we live in it. Our planet is precious; the more we can know about it and how to show it love, the better.

Favorite Core Weather Memory

I was probably about five years old, walking with my mother home from the pool on a warm sunny day. Suddenly, a wall of rain appeared behind us, making its way toward us, and I could see a clear divide between the weather where I stood and something completely different feet away. It felt like something magical. As it poured down, still wet from my time in the pool, I jumped and laughed and stomped in the puddles as they began to form.

I think sometimes a lot of things lose their magic as adulthood takes hold. But the beauty of weather and the natural world still keeps that childlike charm of something greater than we can understand — at least if you’re not one of the meteorologists on our team.
