How I Got To The Weather Company

I graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1985 with a degree in Journalism and honors from South Carolina College. I was a writer and editor for the campus newspaper, The Gamecock, and the J-School weekly, The Carolina Reporter. I interned in the summer of 1984 with the Stars & Stripes in Darmstadt, West Germany. I was also part of several teams that worked on the Tampa Bay Times’s Pulitzer Prize-winning projects.

I joined the digital team in March 2023. Before that, I worked as a freelance writer and editor for the company since 2018.
