Lambeau Field hosts a rare college hockey doubleheader on Feb. 20, 2027, with Ohio State facing Wisconsin in the women's game and Michigan facing Wisconsin in the men's, while Michigan and Western Michigan square off outdoors at Waldo Stadium in Kalamazoo. The NHL is getting in on it too, with outdoor games in Winnipeg, Salt Lake City and Arlington, Texas, where the league is pushing to play with AT&T Stadium's retractable roof wide open. Six games, five very different weather challenges (because one city has a double header), and one shared idea: hockey belongs outside.
