Thanksgiving week is here, and millions of Americans, primarily across the Northern Plains and the South, are still dealing with record warmth. Temperatures 10-25 degrees above average are expected for these regions through the weekend, eventually spreading to the Northeast to start the week. Highs in the 50s are expected across the North for cities like Chicago, Detroit and New York City, while southern cities like Atlanta and Dallas could see highs in the 70s and 80s. But a pattern shift is coming by Wednesday, where temperatures will drop just in time for Thanksgiving. Temperatures in the South will drop to the 50s and 60s and the North will see highs in the 20s and 30s for the Northern Plains and Great Lakes and in the 40s for the Northeast. Here’s the latest.
