There is no shortage of stunning flower shows throughout the world. From London's Orchid Festival to the annual Zundert Flower Parade in the Netherlands, beautiful blooms can be found just about everywhere.

But for those with allergies, flower shows can easily become sneeze central. If you have seasonal pollen allergies, there are flowers -- like peonies, orchids and roses -- that are less allergenic. To further avoid pesky allergy symptoms while mingling with flowers (or simply gardening in your backyard), Dr. Clifford Bassett, founder and medical director at Allergy & Asthma Care of New York, told weather.com to make sure you're well covered from allergens. That means wearing sunglasses and hats. You can take further precaution by showering and rinsing off any pollen when you return home. It's also wise to change clothing so you aren't sitting in allergen-soiled garments for prolonged periods of time.
