From Yellowstone National Park in California to Acadia National Park in Maine, spring flowers are about to be in full blossom. That means vibrant blooms in some of our country's most distinct landscapes. England and France are about to be adorned with flowers, too. 

Though there's a lot to look forward to florally speaking, it's important to stay alert and prepared as we enter allergy season.

Dr. Paul Ehrlich, professor of pediatrics at NYU and allergist at Allergy Asthma Associates of Murray Hill, recommends washing your hands frequently and bringing along a change of clothes to keep pollen irritation at a low.

“Because of substances like pollen, you really need to wash your hands,” Ehrlich said. “The other thing we may do is bring a lot of that stuff in on our clothing. After you get back inside, take off your clothes, shower and wash your hair, because pollen is all over hair, too.”
