Hurricane Helene made landfall in Florida as a Category 4 storm in September, then ripped through the Southeast. Augusta National Golf Club, about 140 miles southeast of Atlanta, lost hundreds of trees in the storm. While the damage wasn’t catastrophic, it did change the landscape of the famed course that’s home to the Masters tournament every spring. The weather did make an impact during Monday’s practice round when play was suspended amid threats of rain and thunderstorms.
