Unusual Hail, Wind, Tornado Threat For Pacific Northwest

In a weird weather twist, severe storms are expected in parts of the Pacific Northwest this afternoon and evening. Supercells may develop west of the Cascades in Oregon and Washington, bringing the threat of large hail, strong wind gusts and even a brief tornado. Western Washington and Oregon have the highest probability of severe storms, with the threat focused from Seattle down to Portland and Eugene. However, areas east of the Cascades such as Spokane, eastern Oregon and even into Boise, Idaho should be on alert. Here’s what to watch for.
