Even after a long drive and a desperate need for shut-eye, travelers would think twice about spending a night in these establishments. Crumbling walls and roofs, swimming pools filled with trash and abandoned themed honeymoon rooms all add to the eerie atmosphere of Liz Roll's collection of abandoned hotel and motel photography.

The neon signs that once welcomed guests to crash for the night no longer light. Some of the rooms seem to have been trashed by mischief-makers. Nature takes over some locations, with shrubbery and weeds obscuring the view of a once bustling business.
