Monsoon rains continue to flood India and Bangladesh on Monday, after killing dozens of people and flooding millions of houses since last week.

Photos show people in Sylhet, northeastern Bangladesh wading through flooded streets and others in Jalimura village, India, crammed into boats over the weekend to escape the rising waters. Reuters reported that large swaths of entire neighborhoods were submerged.

Enamur Rahman, junior minister for disaster and relief, said up to 100,000 people have been evacuated from Bangladesh's worst-hit areas, including Sylhet, according to the Associated Press.

In India's northeastern Assam state, where all major rivers are above danger levels, about 200,000 people were taking shelter in 700 evacuation camps.

Authorities were working Monday to deliver food and drinking water to the evacuated.

"The flooding is the worst in 122 years in the Sylhet region," said Atiqul Haque, Director General of Bangladesh's Department of Disaster Management, Reuters reported.

According to data compiled by the India Meteorological Department, the states of Meghalaya and Assam have received 134% more rainfall than is average for June.
