W​inter Storm Nova is heading to the Northeast after bringing a blanket of snow to the Midwest, Plains and Southwest earlier in the week.

P​hotos show snow plows at work in Illinois Thursday, as well as locals working to remove snow throughout the state. Photos from Wednesday snow the storm's snowfall in Denver.

T​he Milwaukee metro area received up to 10 inches of snow on Thursday, while Iowa City, Iowa, saw up to 11.5 inches. Omaha, Nebraska, clocked over a half-foot.

O​n Tuesday, the storm forced the closure of several stretches of interstates in northern Arizona, including a 40-mile section of northbound Interstate 17 from Lake Montezuma to Flagstaff, according to The Associated Press.

N​ova is finishing its snowy trek across the U.S. by bringing snow to New England on Friday. Ice will be concern from upstate New York to Maine, with possible ice accumulation of about a quarter of an inch.
